From Spring through to Fall, the place to be in Squamish each Saturday is the Squamish Farmers’ Market!

This weekly event is back up and running at full capacity, featuring a huge selection of vendors as well as activities, live music, food trucks and more. It’s quite the social gathering of the weekend, where you are sure to run into old friends and neighbours while you discover the best local selection of fruit, veggies, meats and artisan creations.

If the market is a new experience for you, you can find it located in the heart of Downtown Squamish on the corner of Cleveland Avenue and Victoria Street. Each Saturday, vendors gather and sell their wares from 10AM until 3PM. With a beautiful backdrop that features the Mamquam Blind Channel and the Stawamus Chief, heading to the market makes for not only an awesome shopping excursion, but also a fabulous day outside in a scenic setting.

Here is everything you need to know about the 2022 Squamish Farmers’ Market:

When is it?

You’ll find the market on every Saturday from 10AM – 3PM until December 10, rain or shine!

Where is it?

The market is located at the corner of Cleveland Avenue and Victoria Street in Downtown Squamish.

What kind of Vendors will be there?

The roster of vendors changes weekly, but you’ll often see the same vendors each week. Follow them on Facebook and Instagram to see the most current line up announcements. There is room for up to 60 vendors selling a range of products like farm foods, baked goods, beverages, prepared foods, lifestyle products, pet supplies, art, handmade goods, décor, plant-based products, alcohol… the list goes on! The large and diverse array of tables means you can shop for fruit, veggies, meats, seafood, drinks, and everything for the kitchen as well as some fun, locally made products that are great for gifts (or to spoil yourself a little).

What Can I Eat While I Am There?

Shopping does work up an appetite, especially when you’re busy perusing such a wonderful selection of foods. Before you bite into that freshly bought pastry, be sure to check out the gathering of food trucks to see if something catches your fancy. Each week a selection of food trucks can be found at or near the market, and you’ll discover everything from tacos to crepes, burgers, Indian cuisine, Greek goodies and more! Grab something hot and fresh to enjoy in a picnic at the nearby Junction Park or to take home. Have the pastry for dessert!

What Else is Going on at the Market?

The Squamish Farmers’ Market isn’t just about the products and merchandise for purchase, it’s also about our community. Here you’ll find Community Tables offering up information and the opportunity to engage. So far this year we have seen the District of Squamish and Squamish Search and Rescue present and others at the market. You’ll also be able to enjoy a range of musical performances, activities and activations just for kids, Chef demonstrations and more!

What NOT to Miss:

  •  If local sweet syrup purveyors Frostbites are there, be sure to grab one of their refreshing snow cones.
  • You’ve gotta nab some fresh bread from Rising Knead Bakery
  • Local honey is a must-buy! It doesn’t get better than this.
  • Always be sure to stock up on whatever is seasonal and fresh for fruit and veggies!

We hope to see you at the Squamish Farmers’ Market this year… remember, it continues through the Fall when the season changes to pumpkins and root vegetables, providing us with almost a year-round shopping experience that supports local farms and businesses. Let’s continue to shop local and support these amazing Squamish suppliers and their wonderful products.
